Julia Shates selected to receive FINESST funding

Julia Shates, a PhD candidate in the L'Ecuyer research group, has been awarded funding through the Future Investigators in NASA Earth and Space Science and Technology (FINESST) competition. Her project is titled, "Characterizing Precipitation Structure and Processes in the Satellite Radar Blind Zone," and a description of the research project can be found on page 31 of the announcement. Julia's proposal was one of 58 proposals selected within the Earth Science division, which received 351 proposals. Congratulations, Julia!
