Julia participates in Three Minute Thesis Competition

On Thursday, October 28, 2021, PhD student Julia Shates participated in the semi-finals for the Three Minute Thesis competition held at Memorial Union. Julia competed amongst 15 other graduate students in the physical sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities. Her 3-minute presentation was titled, 'Precipitation in the Satellite Radar Blind Zone." During the 3 minutes, Julia had to communicate her research to a general audience and was only allowed the one slide to illustrate key ideas. Great job, Julia!
