Group member April Hang gave two talks in China invited by Professor J. Chen from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST). The first talk focused on recent study on “Reassessing the effect of cloud type on Earth’s energy balance in the age of active spaceborne observations”. The second talk aimed at undergraduate students who want to study abroad. April shared her graduate experience in L’Ecuyer’s Research Group that gained very positive feedbacks from both students and faculties.

NUIST, formerly named Nanjing Institute of Meteorology, was established in 1960 and enjoys the reputation as “the cradle of meteorological talents in China”. The discipline of Atmospheric Science in NUIST ranks No. 1 in the discipline evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Education of China.
