The Light Precipitation Validation Experiment (LPVEx) was an international field project to evaluate and improve satellite precipitation estimates at high latitudes. In situ and remote measurements of liquid and frozen precipitation from the ground, aircraft, and satellites were collected in the vicinity of Helsnki, Finland from September 15-December 31, 2010.

These data, associated model simulations, and related documentation are archived here. Daily operations summaries and datasets can be accessed through the Calendar page while longer data records can be identified and ordered through the Data Center.
